Who we are

SolveIndex (solveindex.vercel.app) is a fitness and practical problem-solving guides site. When we say "we", "us", or "our" in this policy we mean the operators of SolveIndex.

What data we collect

We do not run a user-account system and we do not ask you to submit personal information to browse guides. The only data processing that may occur falls into two categories.

Analytics (optional, consent-gated). If you click Accept on the cookie banner, we load Vercel Analytics — an anonymous, cookie-free analytics product provided by Vercel Inc. Vercel Analytics collects aggregated page-view counts and general geographic region data. It does not track individual users across sessions, store personal identifiers, or set advertising cookies. If you click Decline, no analytics script is loaded at all.

Affiliate link clicks (third-party). Some guide pages contain affiliate links to third-party retailers (e.g. Amazon). When you click one of those links, you leave our site and are subject to the retailer's own privacy policy. The retailer may set its own cookies to track your purchase for commission purposes — we have no control over that.

Cookies and local storage

We store a single item in your browser's localStorage under the key si_consent to remember whether you accepted or declined analytics. This is purely a functional preference and is not transmitted to any server. It is not an advertising cookie. You can clear it at any time by clearing your browser's site data for this domain.

How we use the data

Aggregated analytics data (if you accepted) is used solely to understand which guides are helpful and to improve the site. We do not sell, rent, or share any data with third parties for advertising or marketing purposes.

Your rights

If you are located in the EU/EEA, UK, or California you have rights regarding your data including access, rectification, erasure, and objecting to processing. Because we do not collect identifiable personal data, most of these rights are satisfied by design. If you have a specific request, please contact us (see below).

You can withdraw analytics consent at any time by clearing the si_consent key from your browser's localStorage — the banner will reappear on your next visit.

Data retention

Vercel Analytics retains aggregated metrics for up to 90 days. We do not separately store any logs of individual visits.

Children's privacy

SolveIndex is not directed at children under 13 (or 16 where applicable under GDPR). We do not knowingly collect data from children.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We will update the "Last updated" date at the top when we do. Continued use of the site after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
